Vinyl - Chants of Maldoror - Ritual Death - Hand numbered edition

In July 1997 (7/7/97), Chants of Maldoror released (only on cassette) their debut demo entitled “Ritual Death”, a concept about “Nigredo” or “Putrefactio”, in Alchemy the first essential phase of the transformation of matter and spirit, which is for Jung  "the dark night of the soul, when an individual is brought to confront the shadow within himself".
The seven songs that make up "Ritual Death" ideally follow the path of death and rebirth of the Initiate, through sounds that range from ritualistic-medieval suggestions to the embryonic deathrock that will characterize the band later.
The number of copies actually made at the time is unknown, and today those cassettes are sought after and purchased by collectors for significant amounts.
The first and only vinyl edition of "Ritual Death", released in exclusive collaboration with Darkitalia, features remastered audio from the original master tapes, as well as faithful reproductions of all the images used for the booklet that originally accompanied the cassette, in addition to other promotional material from that time (photos, flyers, etc.), and represents an ideal “Albedo”.

Nel Luglio 1997 (7/7/97), i Chants of Maldoror pubblicano il demo di debutto (solo su cassetta) intitolato “Ritual Death”, un concept sulla “Nigredo” o “Putrefactio”, in Alchimia la prima imprescindibile fase della trasformazione della materia e dello spirito, che è per Jung “la notte oscura dell’anima, quando un individuo è portato a confrontarsi con l’ombra dentro di sè”.
Le sette canzoni che compongono “Ritual Death” idealmente seguono il percorso di morte e rinascita dell’Iniziato, attraverso sonorità che spaziano da suggestioni ritualistico-medievali all’embrionale deathrock che caratterizzerà successivamente la band.
Il numero di copie effettivamente realizzate all’epoca è imprecisato, e oggi esemplari di questo nastro vengono ricercati e acquistati dai collezionisti a cifre considerevoli.
La prima ed unica edizione in vinile di “Ritual Death”, realizzata in collaborazione esclusiva con Darkitalia, presenta un audio rimasterizzato dai nastri originali, nonchè fedeli riproduzioni di tutte le immagini utilizzate per il libretto che originariamente accompagnava la cassetta, in aggiunta ad altro materiale promozionale dell’epoca (foto, flyer, ecc), e ne rappresenta una ideale “Albedo”.
